HISTORY
Sasha was born to Lars and Sofia Nein in Germany. Well, his birth was a joy to his family but it also took a toll on Sofia's health. But she didn't care at all considering all she wanted in life was to be a mother. And thus she went out of her way to be the best mother she possibly could because she loved it. She drowned Sasha in love, while Lars was in the background more concerned about Sofia's health as she grew sicker until finally when Sasha was about a year old, her health finally started to decline quickly and she died. Lars did not hold this against Sasha, but he did take this as a major blow and pulled away as a father mourning his wife. He fell into a deep depression making it where Sasha did not get the emotional support he needed growing up. When Sasha was about 3, Lars decided to 'start fresh' and move to America where Sofia had always wanted to live, hoping fulfilling one of her dreams would help with his mourning. It did not, but he kept on working at making shoes in a poor German enclave in NYC in some European Slums. When Sasha was about 10, he started to be more and more curious about his mother and started to ask questions, but Lars would not answer them so Sasha, with his developing Psychic powers, decided to telepathically go into Lars' mind and see if he could discover what his mother was like. He found out she was a lovely woman, and an angel looking down on them.
He also discovered Lars still thought of his wife as a man would think of his wife and this naturally shocked Sasha.
But instead of packing up and running away from home like he did in canon, Sasha decided to do something different in this universe, he decided to simply not do it again. To anyone, and block his psychic powers up. And swear to make up for violating his father's privacy by being the best son he could be. So that is what he did. He went to school and made the best grades he could, he worked in the shoe shop after school, when he graduated he took a morning job working in a factory in the mornings so he could bring in some extra income to the household to try and help life his father and himself from their lower-class lifestyle (they were still below the breadline but they didn't mind.)
But Sasha still wanted something, he wanted attention from his father who was still in mourning over his wife, he wanted to make sure his father was okay and that everything would be good for him after that violation of privacy. But eventually, things started to happen around the house, mysterious things. Things moving on their own, glass shattering, things randomly catching on fire. And Sasha claims it is all the work of a Poltergeist- a spirit who causes trouble. But unbeknown to him, he has caught the eyes of a certain organization who deals with the paranormal and other such things- The Psychonauts!
He also discovered Lars still thought of his wife as a man would think of his wife and this naturally shocked Sasha.

PERSONALITY
Sasha is logical, cool and collected. He seems very in control of himself, but unlike his canon counterpart, he also seems less intune with himself. He doubts his actions a bit more but is also openly a bit more caring about people and things. He is enmeshed with his father and worries about him constantly because of the guilt he has over going through his father's mind when he was a child and has a lot of internalized psychic-phobia and refuses to accept- or remember- that he is a psychic. When put into stressful situations he is willing to stand up and take a lead even if he doesn't fully understand what is going on because someone needs to get the project rolling and once someone else can take the lead he is willing to step down and let someone else with more experience take control.
He represses a lot of his own feelings due to wanting his own father to feel better about himself and maybe finally finish mourning Sasha's mother and finally build a relationship proper with Sasha. Sasha seeks approval and will look for it in people with stronger personalities than his own. This often drives him to seek out perfection in the tasks that he does.
His mental landscape is divided into two sections the section that divide up how he is as a person at the moment, one is a shoebox diorama that is filled with the archtype of the perfect son/factory worker he puts on to be for people who see him and the inside being his shooting gallery. He is very torn on who he is and who he wants to be and his journey is trying to figure it out.
